Morning Activities and Journal Writing (practice using sight words: of, have)

- F – Last Name Graphing- How many letters are in your last name?), Champs Assembly
Morning Message:
- T – stretch out sound to write words with long a, i, count backwards from 25, fill in the ten frames
- W –digraphs (sh, th, ch), using number bonds to write a number sentence, reading sight word sentences with expression and counting words in a sentence
- Th –fill in the missing words to complete the sentence, decompose numbers, matching pictures to words
- F – Champs Assembly
Writing
- Introduce Animal Research, students will brainstorm and help write a list of animals, students will vote on the one that our class is going to research this week.
- Write about facts, habitat, and diet of the animal chosen from our list
- Continue Writing: 3rd We Deliver Class Letter, Continue Beginning, Middle, End Stories
- Valentine Words and Inspiration Pages free writing, students will write a letter to someone in the school
- Review Punctuation and Writing Checklist, review Writing A Letter anchor chart, introduce Story Retelling Map cards
