Our class loved painting with apples on Friday! They were amazed to see the shape of a star when we cut the apple in half!

Please enjoy the pictures of our week below:

we visited the library for the first time this week, our class enjoyed getting to go in the tree house

on the playground we have a blue friendship bench, anytime a student needs someone to play with they can sit on the bench and within seconds another child will come over to ask them to come play with them, our kindergarteners are so sweet and take such good care of each other!

we predicted then checked to see if an apple sinks or floats

so many kindergarteners have already lost teeth this year!

in our pocket chart center, students used environmental print, sight words, and names of classmates to make sentences

our science/sensory center is always a favorite, students used tweezers to find letters mixed in rice, they marked off each letter they found on their alphabet chart

we completed our first write the room in math this week, students enjoyed searching for ten frames in our classroom and then writing that number on their recording sheet

when a student returns to school that has been absent we always welcome them back by singing the song: You’ve been gone, you’ve been missed, where would you like your butterfly kiss?

We start each Friday by dancing to a Fun Friday song!

Birthday hugs are the best!
