Dear Parents,

Our class is participating in the Limeades for Learning program that Sonic Drive-in funds every school year. I have created a project for our classroom to receive wobble cushions and stools that will enhance our learning. However, I need your help!

Please take time each night to vote or bring us stickers from Sonic Drive-in. When you go to Sonic Drive-in, let them know that your child is in a “Limeades for Learning” class. They will give you stickers that count as extra VOTES! Ask for as many stickers as they will give you. Send the stickers to school and I will be happy to put the votes in for our project.

Voting begins tomorrow, October 1st!

  1. Go to www.limeadesforlearning.com
  2. Click on “EXPLORE” tab at the top of the website.
  3. In the search box, type “stephanie bradley”
  4. Vote, Vote, Vote for our project: Wiggle and Wobble in Kindergarten
  5. Create an account, set an alarm on your phone and VOTE everyday!
  6. Please share this with all of your family and friends!

This project is an exciting experience for all the students as we work as a team to earn something special for our classroom. Help us continue our tradition of adding fun supplies to our classroom that your child can enjoy as well as future students.

Thank you for ALL that you do!

Stephanie Bradley

we visited the library for the first time this week, our class enjoyed getting to go in the tree house

on the playground we have a blue friendship bench, anytime a student needs someone to play with they can sit on the bench and within seconds another child will come over to ask them to come play with them, our kindergarteners are so sweet and take such good care of each other!

we predicted then checked to see if an apple sinks or floats

so many kindergarteners have already lost teeth this year!

in our pocket chart center, students used environmental print, sight words, and names of classmates to make sentences

our science/sensory center is always a favorite, students used tweezers to find letters mixed in rice, they marked off each letter they found on their alphabet chart

we completed our first write the room in math this week, students enjoyed searching for ten frames in our classroom and then writing that number on their recording sheet

when a student returns to school that has been absent we always welcome them back by singing the song: You’ve been gone, you’ve been missed, where would you like your butterfly kiss?

We start each Friday by dancing to a Fun Friday song!

Birthday hugs are the best!

We have been working on conflict resolution as part of our Conscious Discipline lessons in class. We have a time machine mat that we use to help us learn the language to say to resolve any conflicts we may have during the day. I am so proud of our kindergarteners using their Big Voice to solve problems. Here is a picture of our Time Machine mat:

Donors Choose Project – Wiggle and Wobble in Kindergarten

Wiggle and Wobble in Kindergarten

Donors Choose: Throughout the year we will use Donors Choose to help fund materials for our classroom.

Our current project is to raise funds to purchase enough wobble stools and wiggle cushions so that each child in my classroom has one to use throughout the day.

About this project:

  • The wiggle cushions help meet kindergarteners sensory needs. They allow them to wiggle while they work and make sitting on the floor or in a chair a lot more comfortable!
  • The wobble stools will give my students an opportunity to release energy during learning activities. The base of the wobble stool is rounded, allowing the kids to wiggle and fidget to their heart’s content!

Having a variety of seating options for my students help to meet their unique needs. Continuous movement while sitting relaxes the right side of the brain, leading to better focus. This project will allow my students move around without distracting other students. If you know anyone who may want to help my classroom, please pass this along!

We’d love for you to read about and share our current project:  Wiggle and Wobble in Kindergarten
